Adhd Anxiety Comorbidity
Can anxiety act like Inattentive ADHD?

Can anxiety act like Inattentive ADHD? Can it cause such things as
procrastination, difficulty paying attention and forgetfulness? When there is already anxiety present, is it more likely for this anxiety to be causing those things or is more likely for there to be a comorbidity of the anxiety and inattentive ADHD?
There is no actual hyperactivity; sorry about misleading with the ADHD. Should have been ADD. (Thanks for the correction infernowolf36)

Chances are that if you have one, you have the other too. These two things tend to play negetively off of each other, and can make life really crappy for the sufferer. My husband deals with A.D.H.D., Anxiety, Bi-Polar, and Oppostional Defiance Disorder every day. I think than in some cases extreme Anxiety, to the point of almost paranoia, can cause inattentiveness, and difficulty paying attention, but not necessarily procrastination or forgetfulness. On that note, my husband has bad forgetfulness and he’s only 26. I think that goes with the A.D.H.D., the brain may process it when you are talking to them, but it doesn’t save the information, or if the brain saves the information, it doesn’t know how to retrieve the info later on, or at the right times.
