Alcohol Anxiety Hangover

Mixing Lexapro with Alcohol…Dangerous?
I’m on Lexapro for anxiety/depression. I usually have about one drink, and am completely fine, however last night I took my meds then left for the bars (forgetting I’m not supposed to mix the 2)
This morning I had the hangover of my life, complete with pounding headache and nausea.
How dangerous is this? And will I have any lasting effects from this hangover?
The reason it is not advised is because alcohol is a depressant. Drinking alcohol whilst on anti depressants can lead to deeper depression, a higher intoxication level than usual, and side effects associated with the antidepressant can increase. It can be potentially dangerous but you will not have any lasting side effects unless you continue to mix them.
