Alcohol Anxiety Treatment
What kinds of topical disenfectants are safe for use on dogs?

My elderly border collie, Lucky, has a sore on his paw. It’s probably from anxiety, and he licks it incessantly, so the wound won’t heal up. It doesn’t cause him too much pain as he isn’t limping and he doesn’t mind if I touch it, but I’m worried it may become infected from being open for so long. So, I am wondering what kind of topical treatment is safe for canines. Hydrogen peroxide? Neosporin? Isosporyl rubbing alcohol? Preferably, I want something available in the average first-aid cabenit and also will not hurt him if he licks it off.
He is due for a vet checkup in a short while, so I am just looking for a tempoary thing to do until the vet visit when I can consult them and get my dog a possible perscription.

Neosporin will do fine. There is also something called BagBalm I’ve used it before and it works well. Sometimes a dog licking his paw is linked to some type of allergy (don’t really know how though) so you definantly want to bring it up with your vet.
