my dog has anxiety about being left alone an we are goin out of town should i put her in a kennel or bring her?

i don’t know what to do
she was also abandon for 2 years

I have a pointer like that…we kenneled him and my puppy once when we were at the grand canyon for day and when we got back he was so scared and shaken cause he thought we left him….

Honestly both is a lot of work- for kennels you have to prove that your dog is vaccinated and has flea medication….most stay in a kennel with a little run and most of the time they are kept by themselves. The cheapest kennels ive found was about $25 a night- you have to provide them with your dog’s food and treats

Taking your dog with you—we took our 2 dogs to dog beach in san diego and even though we had a blast- we had to prepare a lot of stuff. The ride was about 5-6 hours long so we took 2 breaks…we also brought:
crate, dog food, water and food bowls, blanket, leash, blanket- well one of my dogs drank salt water and had explosive diaherra (we didn’t account for that)
there are dog friendly hotels you can go to but the problem is you can’t leave the dog by itself in the room….You should go and enjoy your time away

I would ask a friend to come check in on your dog- it will be in its home environment and maybe consider a dog sitter- many are advertising on craigslist….
