one word its called stress …find out whats stressing you and leave whats stressing you and that will make you feel better and also change your diet eat alot of salad and water that will help you out and walk more often
oh and buy yourself a cheap aquarium and fish at night when you cant sleep watch them swim around and stuff that will relax you

i suggest plenty of cardio exercise (i Find jogging helps the best), B-complex vitamins, and Kolonopins. I was dealing with bad anxiety and panic and I was prescribed xanax and kolonopins. They helped me tremendously, but I also started taking B-complex vitamins and getting lots of exercise and it may be a coincidence, but my anxiety is pretty much gone and i have quit taking all prescribed medications.

Yeah, I have the same problem. I worry about everything, but I just have to remember that everything is going to be fine. When ever I pray to Jesus, he always helps no matter what the situation is! If I were you, I’d try to get your mind off things by watching TV, playing video games, going on YouTube, reading a book (Bible), etc.

Sometimes it takes some experimenting to find the right drug for you. I also have problems with anxiety, and lorazepam did not help me much either. It might have been the dose, or the chemistry. What does work for me is klonopin. I take it PRN, or when I feel like my anxiety is getting out of control.

Lots of deep breathing – I have had panic attacks now for 2 years – and I was on Lexapro for a year – but do NOT recommend going on that. The side effects of getting of of it are horrible…..I always tell myself this – NOBODY HAS EVER DIED FROM A PANIC ATTACK. Do not let this control your life – trust me, easier said than done, I know…..When you freak out – ask yourself, why am I freaking out?

I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder, I have never been medicated by choice. the one thing that helps me at night it Melatonin, it’s a natural herb. But definately check with your doc to make sure it won’t have a bad effect with your meds.

You would probably benefit from some counseling. You need to talk about what it is that is bothering you. Sometimes we bottle things up and think we’re okay, but those problems surface at the worst times, i.e., when we’re trying to go to sleep. If you cannot afford to go to a psychologist or a therapist, contact your church and see if they can put you in touch with a Stephen Minister. Stephen Ministry is a great way to get help when you cannot afford traditional treatment.

If you cannot find a therapist to help you, try to keep a journal of your thoughts on a day-to-day basis. Start with a list of what is on your mind the most when you have panic attacks, what triggers them, and what time of day these happen, when you started getting panicked, etc. Then identify what it is that you are afraid of or angry about. Once you ‘own’ your anger or fear, you will have a better chance of coping with this condition.

I really hope you find someone to help you and please do talk to someone, a trusted friend perhaps, about this and take baby steps toward good mental health.

That happens to me sometimes too. I’m taking Prozac for my anxiety and panic attacks but at night I just usually take a Benadryl or 2 so i can sleep or im completely restless.

as a past sufferer i do know how you feel. go back to your doctor tell him the tablets don’t seem to help much, but ask if he will refer you to a psychiatrist, i saw one for years and was on lots of medication but i did come through it. ask to be refered as soon as posible don’t leave it too long like me, you might be cured in a very quick time. these experts realy know their stuff and they are great at getting to the root of the problem and helping you . good luck.
