Anxiety Attack Length
Weird heart pain ?!?!?

Last February I was sitting at the movies with a few friends, when all of a sudden I couldn’t breathe. My muscles tightened up in the back of my neck and my left arm. It hurt to take any length of breath.
Ever since then, I would get these spells. They would last from 15-30 minutes long. I would get them once every two months or so. Also, my doctors couldn’t find anything wrong with my EKG(eh-koe-gram), they suggested it was anxiety attacks. But, I was told I’m too young for those. I’m 13 and a half now. So, you have any ideas of what this could be?

I wonder if it is correct to say a person is too young for anxiety attacks. This sounds like what my sister had when she was several years older than you. The first time it happened was after she learned her brother had just drowned. But after that nothing specific happened to cause them. She was able to learn to control her breathing when she felt it starting. Once she knew she wasn’t dying, it was easier to relax.

I think you should get a second opinion.
