i was diagnosed with an anxiety (or panic) disorder about 12 years ago and have been on paxil most of that time. the medicine works great. the home remedies i have seen and tried don’t work. doctors tell me that they don’t fully understand this type condition so they have yet to find a “cure” for it. so it is my understanding from research i have gathered that the only way to get relief is to take the pill every day till i kill over

This will sound totally out of the blue, but have you ever been tested for yeast overgrowth?

As far as making anxiety go away, it is more complex than that, as my out of the blue question indicates. The anxiety attacks are an effect, not a cause. You need to find the cause. Something is out of whack, and you need to discover what it is. Are there any other symptoms, even if they seem unrelated?

A good naturopath can walk you through a history and symptoms analysis that will be very helpful. They may even be able to pinpoint the actual cause and treat it rather than patch it. They will have natural approaches that can make it go away. And, if they think another branch of medicine can help, they are likely to refer you – which is more than you will get from the MD.

    Best to you.
