Hello, i’ve been having anxiety attacks for the past couple of months and last night i had one and had to go to the ER. I’m making an appointment on monday for it but i was just wondering. Is it possilbe to die from having anxiety attacks? Like from irregular heartbeat? And is there anything to help me control it? I just cant take it anymore. i have them two or more times a day.

Thank you

The fear of the attacks can be as bad as the attacks themselves. You should have seen a Dr. right away. No you won’t die from them. Therapy and medicine will help you.

Consult a therapist & continue the treatment. You will not die due to anxiety attach.

You said this has been happening for the past couple of months….you need to find out why, what it was that caused it, and what continues to trigger it. And then turn around those triggers. Who are you making an appointment with Monday? We don’t know the whole store so we’re up in the air.

No. You cannot die from an anxiety attack. If you have a weak or ill heart, it might be possible but the attack alone will not kill you or injure your heart. Here’s a breathing exercise, and you can learn more from books about yoga or a class: Sit upright or lay down if possible. Breathe deeply through your nose by extending your belly, not lifting up your lungs. Push all the air out through your mouth by pushing in with your belly/diaphragm. When it feels like you’ve pushed it all out, push a little more until it’s ALL out. Repeat as needed. See the doctor. Anxiety is easily controlled and treated.

have them run a liver panel and if that proves to be okay, insist they do a hepatitis c antibody test…

chances are there is some sort of virus affecting the chemical balance in the brain.

those with hepatitis c have a much higher chance of panic attacks due to not only the virus passing the blood brain barrier (or any other virus for that matter) but if you have liver damage, panic attacks can arise when the liver is not able to filter toxins out of the body.

cut out anything containing caffiene. if your on an anti-depressant that can in itself cause panic attacks.

    good luck
