Bad mood swings around both ovulation and my period?

I went off the pill in April 2009, and ever since, I’ve been completely miserable and prone to anxiety every cycle: right before ovulation, and again right before I start my period. It’s really interfering with my life and causing problems in my marriage, and it’s turning me into someone I don’t want to be.
