Anxiety Causes Fever
I have nausea, postnasal drip in my throat so its sore sometimes, and feel like I have a low fever, but no fever?

I haven’t been on my allergy medication recently because I’m getting live skin testing done at the allergist tomorrow for some unexplained hives I had in September that happpend after what the doctors was a virus (they didn’t know) with the same symptoms as I’m having now. In september I had nausea for a week, then finally had excruciating gas in my stomach, then took a gas x and threw up. I couldn’t really eat for a few days, then I randomly swelled up on my fingers and toes and got hives. They still don’t know where the hives are coming from b/c the blood tests came out negative, which is why I’m getting skin testing done….I’m hoping this isn’t like how it was in September, I have bad bad anxiety issues which could be making this worse but I don’t know….what could my nausea, postnasal drip in my throat so its sore if I don’t get enough fluids, and the feel like I have a fever but don’t be caused from??????

Postnasal drip is frequently caused by seasonal allergies. Your postnasal drip has developed/worsened most likely because you are not taking the allergy medications at this time. Antihistamines (Claritin, Zyrtec, Allergra, Benadryl, etc.) can interfere with the results of skin allergy testing and this is why they told you to stop them. Once your testing is complete then your postnasal drip should improve when you resume the medications. Nausea can sometimes occur because of postnasal drip. You could also have a viral upper respiratory infection like the common cold, which could be causing the postnasal drip and nausea. If this is the case, your symptoms will improve in 7 days on their own. If you are concerned then see your doctor. Good luck.
