Anxiety Comes And Goes
Anxiety problems?

I just.. I have so many anxiety, stress, and depression problems it’s not even funny. I really need therapy because my ways of dealing with it are through cutting, hitting myself, going off on people for nothing, and sometimes even overdosing. I can’t tell my mom this because I’ve asked her hypothetically what she would do and I just.. After what she said (I don’t want to say) I cannot face her with this! I’m scared out of my mind to tell her, but I need help so bad. I’ve been talking with counselors on Kidshelpphone.com and it’s helping a bit, but not as much as I’d like. The thing is, it’s just over the internet, and it takes a few days to get responses. Usually by the time I get the responses I’ve already hurt myself.. I want to call, and I would, but that’s where my anxiety comes into play. I can’t bring myself to because of how shy and nervous I am talking to people I don’t know, especially about my problems. So, that also would affect if I got therapy. How can I help this?

I would say, if you’re totally not willing to tell your mom, tell someone else who’s an adult who could take you to a psychologist for therapy. Maybe a teacher, family friend, neighbor, relative, friend’s parent, coworker who you’re close with, older friend who you’re close with, someone like that..

But I strongly urge you to get help as soon as you can. You can even go to the ER one night (just walk in and tell them you’re upset and you’re going to hurt yourself) and ask them to help. They can take care of you and your mom until she can deal with the problem properly.
