Anxiety Dogs Medication
Has anyone had a dog that needed medication for separation anxiety.?

I have only had my german shepard for 5 months, we rescued her off the highway. she is approx. 1 years old. She is doing great in all other areas except for separation anxiety. We have had trainers come out, we tried the crate she flips out and hurts herself in it. she is well excersized every day and is very well behaved in and out of the house, as soon as we leave her she goes mad she scratches all the woodwork around door and the walls. she howls for hours. we leave music in the room, we give her things to do to keep busy like kong balls with treats and a good rawhide chew. I have not talked to the vet yet about it, but i will. I just want to know if anyone has experienced this with there dog and had sucees with a med, or have any other ideas.

It sounds like it is that dogs way of life. Do you have a fenced in yard she could stay in?
