Baby anxiety dreams, did you have these?

I have a 2.5 year old little boy and I am 24 weeks with a girl. Last night I dreamt she was a boy, that wouldn’t be a big deal, but the boy hated me. He wouldn’t nurse and had all these sharp teeth. I was in the store buying formula and felt guilty that I breastfed my first son but couldn’t breastfeed him and figured people would think I was awful because of it-I am not hating on formula here, it was just me in my dream. The baby hated me so bad he slapped me in the face. But he was happy with anyone else!
I wonder if its because people keep telling me its harder and takes longer to bond with a second born. I was in love with my son at first sight. I know its silly but the dream bothered me. Did you have silly/weird dreams during pregnancy that bothered you, too?

OMG My pregnant dreams were the WORST! lol I would dream about giving birth to a fully grown person, a kitten and once I even laid an egg in my dream. I’ve always had pretty intense, vivid dreams but my pregnant hormones put an extra crazy spin on them. I would have recurring nightmares too, always about being chased by someone I knew wanted to cut my baby out of me and steal her. So bizarre.

Anyways, I know how dreams can stick with you for days and sometimes even weeks…how they’re just so out there, you can’t shake them…how they can be deeply, deeply disturbing. And I know this is easier said than done, but try not to read too much into them. I think you’ve already nailed the interpretation of this one. You’re feeling anxious and insecure about having a second child. Totally normal. Too bad our brains have to manifest these thoughts and emotions into such crazy dreams!
