Anxiety During Menstruation
I take Zoloft for anxiety, however, during ovulation and menstruation, my medicine tends to not work. Why???

Even though I take my medicine every day, during these times of the month, I experience withdrawal symptoms, such as those “brain zaps” and fatigue. Even my doctor is unsure what could be the problem. I’m just at the end of my rope.

I am also on Zoloft.

I take 100 mg a day.

I also work in womens health.

During ovulation and menstruation our female hormones change, which can cause moodiness and some anxiety in certain women.

IF you are on, say, 50 mg a day, have you considered a hgiher dose? Like 100mg?

Birth control pills, like YAZ, often help fight those symptoms of moodiness, fatigue and anxiety, which may be worth chekcing into.

You are not alone :)
