Anxiety Feeling In Chest
How can I relax a tight chest?

Now, I suppose this is important to mention first : I have some anxiety issues.

I have been ‘suffering’ from a tight-feeling chest. Though I can say that it doesn’t hurt in the slightest, it just feels very uncomfortably tight, and it’s hard to focus on anything but that.

Any suggestions to get my mind away from it and/or relax it?

[The feeling is mostly around the lower-part, from the middle to the bottom of my ribs]

Any help is appreciated.

Panic attacks usually create a tight feeling in the chest and can mimick a heart attack.

If you were prescribed anti-anxiety medication, you should use it.

The best method of relaxation technique is a breathing exercise from yoga. Lie down on top of your bed, arms by your sides, palms up. Breathe in slowly through your nose and exhale through your mouth.

Concentrate on a calm scene like the beach or a waterfall, anything that is calming. Do this about 10-20 times, and you should notice that your body has relaxed.
