Anxiety Going To The Bathroom
Is 4 month old too young to be having separation anxiety?

Yesterday, my partner and I wanted to treat ourselves with our first date since baby was born. My mom offered to babysit and honestly, she’s the only one I would have trusted. Well right after diner, she called cause baby wouldn’T stop screaming and crying. She had tried every trick in the book to calm her down. Baby had a clean diaper, comfy clothes, was not cold nor hot, was fed, etc… So we hurried back to my mom’s place and as soon as baby was in my arms she calmed down. A couple of minutes later (like half a hour) I felt like going to the bathroom. Even in her father’s arms she cried when I left. He had to follow me to the bathroom!! Could it be separation anxiety? She’ll be 3 month on feb 7 and I’ve read everywhere that it didn’t happen until later … ????
Now I feel so guilt stricken like a bad mom who abandoned her child… But I never would have expected this…So please don’t judge me for that.

Mine started with separation anxiety around 3 months, so yes, it can start earlier!

I’m sorry that happened – it wasn’t you’re fault, you weren’t to know! Your baby will be just fine. *hugs*
