You should speak to your doctor..don’t be embarrassed. He could prescribe you prozac, which is an excellent drug for this type of disorder.. don’t freak out..this type of drug you don’t even know your are taking..you don’t get stoned or anything..but it corrects the chemical imbalance..talk to your Dr, it might be the right drug for you.
Try meditation and drink chamomile tea’s and get your self a herb book you’ll find that nature has the best cure’s , and if that dont work well then try getting plowed before you sing you might sound like sh-t but you wont care
The best ting you can do is get some cognitive behavioural therapy.
You can do this with a psychologist or even over the web, and even for FREE !!!
Websites below,
Best of luck – not that you’ll need luck – you can do it – all by yourself !
The most important thing to relize is that anxiety feeds off of itself its a cycle….you become anxious and than u become anxious because ur anxious…and it keeps going until u pass out from an anxiety attack….when it comes to singing the best thing to do is to live by the nike slogan “Just do it” because the more u wait the more anxious u will become… I’m sure ud make a great singer good luck and remeber not to let it get the best of you!!!!
anxiety didorder is a sickness, a disease, just like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, heart problems, etc…it’s amedical condition and as such, it needs to be treated by a medical doctor and a specialist at that. usually you should first see your general doctor and he/she will refer you to a pshychiatrist. there are extremely effective medications for it that are well-proven. one is the family of benzodyazepines like klonopin, valium, ativan. the only problem with these meds is that in the long run if they are taken without therapy and if you use them to self-medicate, they are very addictive and would harm you. always follow your doctor’s instructions and he/she will also recommend therapy.
I used to have panic attacks and tried everything. The only thing in the end that worked, strange as it may seem, was to go into the feeling with all of my attention…try to get it to happen…try to feel it as intensly as possible. I soon could feel it coming on, then I’d “go into it” and it would just as soon lift and I’d be me again. Doing this will also give you skills in many other areas of your life, and you should never underestimate how important your feelings are, and you should never hand them over to a pill to fix, unless you want to depend on someone, or something else your entire life to be yourself.
Trust me, you are your best healer, and you can learn from this more than this “problem” is for you right now in your life. It could very well be the best thing that has happened to you, as it was for me, because if you can find your center in the anxiety, you can find your center anywhere. Unless you want to take a drug to make you get the feeling of being centered…but that is your choice, and this is just how I made mine, and it was one of the best choices of my life.
take this facts as guides to you live.1 some one controls all event. 2. given any situation there is a limit to what you can do, after doing you bit leave the out to the controller of all event. 3. what ever has been pro gramme to happen will happen no matter what you do. this should reduce your anxiety. do you best in all things leave the rest to the controller of them all.
I have anxiety something fierce. I dealt with it over a year without seeing a doctor. I finally went to the doctor and he put me on Paxil. It’s helped me to see things a lot clearer. Although it hasn’t stopped my anxiety attacks altogether so, don’t expect miracles. But if you wait to get help like I did expect other health problems to occur like stress causing high blood pressure which can lead to kidney disease. I’m 37 and it happened to me and now I gotta take like 5 prescriptions. So go get help soon please. It will have great affect on becoming a singer and other goals without help.
medication is certainly one option that can be very effective for some people.
CBT (cognitve behavioural therapy) is ok but can take along time to get you were you want to go
There is an excelent product “Panic Away” that has a mountain of testimonials from very happy uses. You can see a review here
It is a completely natural method that claims your next anxiety attack will be your last when you use the method
Good luck with it…
