Anxiety In Dogs Symptoms
strange shelter dog.?
Recently I adopted a chihuahua-daschund mix from a really scary kill shelter.
I felt sorry for this small dog. The area I adopted the dog from has a pretty bad drug problem.
Getting to my point … When I got the dog home I realized the dog wasn’t right. I researched seperation anxiety/mental illness and such but his symptoms are much worse. I’ve dealt with many dogs in my life- this one is really messed up. My friends think the dog could have been around drugs( such as meth)
what should I do with this dog? I’m clueless……..
His eyes move from left to right very fast…. can’t sit still for over 1 or 2 seconds(involuntary shaking movement) Could this be brain damage?
I would get the vet to clear any possible nerological issues, how is the dogs gait. I’ve seen that eye movment twice before with stroke dogs, it is a symptom of vertigo. One possibility, your guy may be a distemper survivor. Or it can be just normal abused chi nerotic behavior
