how many ivf cycles have you been through before pregnancy was a success? when unexplained fertility?

have been ttc for 2 years now, unsuccessful to date. started ivf 6 months ago but not yet worked. frustrated… how many ivf cycles do i have to go through to get pregnant. hate the anxiety and stress..

Our diagnosis was unexplained infertility. We tried 1 round of Clomid with timed intercourse, then 3 rounds of Clomid with IUI, then 3 rounds of injectible fertility meds with IUI . . . all ended in failure. We then moved onto IVF and were blessed with our boy/girl twins on the first cycle.

Before moving onto IVF, I participated in a women’s support group for women dealing with infertility. We learned lots of anti-stress techniques from meditation to yoga to nutrition and couples therapy. It was wonderful and I was in a better place when going through IVF. I would talk to your doctor and see if they can recommend someone.
