after medication, cats still spray?

i have two male neutered cats on medication (for spraying and anxiety), and we’ve limited their space, but they still spray, mostly in their litter boxes (and, yes, I’m sure it’s spray and not pee)…Cleaning out their boxes is awful and disgusting and we do it every day…help!!!!!!!!!!!! But the smell is seeping out of their space (even with walls and doors) throughout my house. Help!! They are healthy, lovable cats otherwise and about 14 years old-but have become too large of a financial and physical burden. Please help. –At my wits end.

Spray is pee, so I’m not sure why you would want them to not do that in the litter box- as long as it’s going the box I would not worry about it. Get an odor absorbing litter and it should help with the smell.
