Anxiety Medications Safe During Pregnancy

Bi-polar disorder & pregnancy?
I was just diagnosed bi-polar 1 by my doctor…but Im 12 weeks pregnant. Ive always battled with anxiety/panic nearly all my life…but they are now thinking that is the underlying cause. My MD suggested I speak with my OB about the diagnosis. In NO way do I want to jeopardize my unborn child’s health. Does anyone know any Safe medications during pregnancy to help regulate this condition. (I dont see my OB for another week) so Im just curious.
There are no safe medications while your pregnant. For now you should find a good therapists to talk to while you’re pregnant and hopefully you can continue after having the baby since you have a greater chance of developing Post-Partum Depression. Even if you cant continue seeing her after the baby is born just find someone you can talk to openly to help you through it. In the end you may find you don’t even need medication. If talking one on one with someone right away seems strange you can check out Group Therapy. May help you to open up and feel connected to others during an emotional pregnancy.
Also, keep in mind you cannot take any meds while breastfeeding. Take care of yourself, a happy mom is the best way to raise a happy healthy child.
