The Symptoms of Anxiety Attacks

Since people may have various causes of anxiety attacks, there are cases wherein it only lasts for only 15 seconds. It really differs. Some suffer from this condition in a vicious cycle of repeated episodes.
Panic attacks are closely linked to certain phobias. The most common phobias are claustrophobia and agoraphobia. The first has something to do with the fear of being in closed or narrow spaces. While the latter is the fear of not being able to escape a bad situation. Sufferers of panic attacks feel trapped and unable to free themselves.
The most common symptoms of anxiety attacks are shortness of breath, chest pain or tightness, hot flashes, cold flashes, sweating, trembling, palpitations, nausea, dizziness or slight vertigo, lightheadedness, burning sensation in the face or neck area, tingling sensations, and sensations of smothering or choking.
The predominant symptoms of anxiety attacks are shortness of breath and chest pain. That is why most people who suffered from anxiety attacks think that they are having a heart attack. This is very evident especially to those who have experienced panic attacks for the first time and they have ended up seeking treatment in emergency rooms.
