Tips/suggestions. on how to overcome anxiety on public speaking.?

I am asked to host an event of close to 400 hundred people. My worry is I never did emceeing before. The even is an oath taking ceremony of Parent Teachers Association in the school where where my kids are currently enrolled at. Please give me advise /comment / tips on how to overcome my fear. The occasion will be on Aug 27.

4, 40 or 400 should not make a difference. The end result is you have to get your message across, so be prepared. Just remember this, almost every person in that audience would never do what you are about to do… because of this, the audience will have unknowingly raised you to an upper status. Use this to your advantage. Good luck!
