Anxiety Of Soul
Looking for a doctor to help with my anxiety.?
I’ve done enough soul-searching to realize that I have some form of anxiety.
Even though I sometimes feel like I can’t control how I feel, I’m always able to be objective and think out my problems.
So, I’ve decided it’s time that I seek professional help of some kind. I’d prefer to avoid therapy, because I really don’t think I’d benefit from it. To be honest, I’d really just like to see a doctor who’ll properly diagnose me and prescribe me something to help me stay a little more chilled out and focused.
So, that’s where I’m stuck. Should I be looking for a therapist, a Psychiatrist or a Psychologist or what? I’m pretty sure I’m looking for a Psychiatrist– but then what? How do you pick one? I live in Chicago. There are a lot.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
i would first just go to your regular MD doctor and see what he says. it could be something different. talk to him about your concerns and then he will be able to tell you what the best plan of action is.
