Anxiety Over Death
How to deal with a fear of sudden death?

Everyone and everything dies, I can accept that. But recently (starting two weeks ago) I find myself having mini panic attacks at the notion of having a heart attack or getting into an accident and dying suddenly. Accepting that life is temporary has been of no relief to me in regards to my possible sudden death.

Anybody deal with the same fear and anxiety? How’d you get over it.

I don’t know your age, but from what you’ve shared, I think you have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Seek some help from your GP. Tell him EVERYTHING. He will most likely write a script or two for meds, and he may write a referral for you to see a counselor or Psychologist.

As far as doing something about it on your own goes, well you can write these fears down and then seriously, objectively go over them and having a friend there would be a great help. The goal there would be for you to see the facts about how NOT likely those things are to happen to you.
I wish you the best of luck. Don’t stop looking for the answer ’til you’ve absolutely found the right one for you.
