Can any mommies offer some tips or advice for dealing with labor pains and anxiety?

This is my first pregnancy, and even though I’ve been studying pregnancy and labor for about 5 years, I’m still scared to death of the pain of labor (unfortunately I am a total wimp, and don’t deal well with pain). Maybe you could tell me what helped you and that might help ease my anxiety? I’d appreciate it. =)
