WHITEOGREPPIN13 : I didn’t mean to scare anybody. The human body is stronger than most of us could ever imagine. Ive known people with panic disorder that lived into their eighties with it! You are not ill, and not in any imminent danger. If you do this guys program, you will be curerd. There is no rush either- your body can deal with shortness of breathe, the palps, racing heart etc. Good luck and fuck you 2.

I feel like throwing up right now. I don’t like anxiety I am so shakey

I know that before the chest pain reared it’s head, I was following the nine pillars completely and felt so much better. The day before the pain arrived, I went into a store (by myself) for the first time since the beginning of the year. Since I was 16 I have tried almost all of the antidepressants and none of them helped, in fact they made me feel worse or lethargic. One thing is certain – you have to find a methid of diversion that allows you to not notice the anxiety symptoms while doing it.

Anxiety makes me sensitive to hot an cold as well. In the past I would feel as if I was ill with a fever a great deal of the time. It’s normal for anxiety.

  • BaileyLush said:

Maybe. I went to the lake today and got some of the most powerful sensations yet. I was on the verge of blacking out. i tried to swim, but I am now extremly sensitive to hot/cold. I really feel like ther is something else going on.

I know how you feel. Maybe you need to find a more distracting form of diversion? I’ve experienced very intense symptoms like you are describing as well, but when it happens now they aren’t as powerful because I know it’s anxiety. Most of the time when it happens now it’s not as intense (I don’t wake with panic anymore either). I just remind myself that it has happened before and that I’m ok.

The pain in my chest. Along with shortness of breathe, and palpitations. Its so intense, not even diversion is helping.

What was it that kept you in bed? That’s probably the most self defeating thing that we anxiety sufferes go through. When we don’t do something it reinforces our own behavior and makes it harder to face the next time. Don’t feel like a nutcase though because being upset with yourself can only make you feel worse, a LOT of people suffer from anxiety. Give yourself some compassion and try to get back into doing things that you enjoy and that occupy your mind. =)

That sucks! I’m sorry to hear that. I’m going through the same stuff. I was doing better, then had some set backs. Sorry if I sounded like a dick in my last post- i’m just frustrated with this crap. Turned 21 the other day, and spent the whole day in bed. They even had a party for me, and I didn’t show up lol:C I feel like such a nutcase. I’m sure your Echo will be fine, so try not to stress so much!

Hay Bailey! I do understand what you’re saying. Maybe Charles will read our comments and will take some time to discuss or post another video on that subject. I do understand, I’m in the same boat right now. My doctor is sending me for an echocardiogram due to the chest pain I’ve been having through this episode. My Gram has attacks, and she used to run around the table over and over due to her racing heart. What he says about “the cork being popped” is how I feel about my current episode.

That’s what the ‘anxiety experts’ tell you, but that is not consistent with actual medical knowledge. Muscles dont like to be worked all the time, and recovery is intregal to muscle strength and health. If you did bicep curls all day long, you would start breaking down to much tissue. I know the physiological ramifications of stress- so it makes it harder for me to believe stuff that is categorically wrong. Thank you though, it’s nice to know im not alone

Sorry, the last was meant to be a reply to BaileyLush.

  • techgirlpa said:

I think it’s more likey that your heart may benefit from the anxiety due to the exercise it gets from it. I am 28 and have experienced the same things that you are describing. Perhaps in your case, you could request an echocardiogram from your doctor? I am NOT saying that everyone with anxiety related chest discomfort needs this, but in your case it may help relieve some of your concerns and help you move on. If you don’t have the Linden Method pack, you may also wish to invest in it.

rocklee37 – As anxiety suffers, it’s natural for us to assume that revisiting a place like the movies where we had once panicked, will again create another anxious response. By believing this, you are creating your own anxious response. Remind yourself the next time you go to see a movie that the movie theatre DOES NOT create anxiety, your own throughts in regard to the anxiety are the true cause.

  • techgirlpa said:

Hi Charles. Your story here sounds like mine so closely. I experienced the same things as a child and then as an adult. I’ve read your story in the pack and it’s wonderful that you’ve placed yourself and your own personal experiences into your method so much.

I use Charles’ method and it DOES work. Unfortunately I do have a relapse now and then due to hormonal problems but the Linden Method keeps me going.
