Action Potential- The firing on a neuron. Occurs when the charge inside the neuron becomes more positive than the charge outside.

Aggressive- An interpersonal style where only the immediate needs of the self are considered rather than the needs of others. (As opposed to passive or assertive)

Anxiety- The physiological and psychological reaction to an expected danger, whether real or imagined.

Type A Personality- A theory used to describe a person with a significant number of traits focused on urgency, impatience, success, and excessive competition.

Anxiety Disorder is when one’s anxiety interfers with living life

An action potential is a wave of electrical discharge that travels along the membrane of a cell; used most extensively by the nervous system for communication between neurons and to transmit information from neurons to other body tissues such as muscles and glands.

Emotional release is a phase in suicide prevention. Venting depression and anger through discussion with psychological professionals is a good way to prevent suicide attempts.

An algorithm is a procedure (a finite set of well-defined instructions) for accomplishing some task which, given an initial state, will terminate in a defined end-state; Informally, the concept of an algorithm is often illustrated by the example of a recipe, although many algorithms are much more complex; algorithms often have steps that repeat (iterate) or require decisions (such as logic or comparison).

Constructive memory- processes in which memories are influenced by the meaning that we give to event; people tend to remember information in terms of schemas, organized bodies of information stored in memory that bias the way new information is interpreted, stored, and recalled
