Anxiety Sleep Loss
I just quit smoking…?

I quit about 2 days ago and have been smoking for 3 years. I am wondering if anxiety, loss of sleep, breathing is weird, and a feeling of indigestion/heartburn is all normal. Thanks and wish me luck!

Yes. You will experience many other things. When I quit, I woke up completely drenched with perspiration. This was shocking, because my hair, the bed, my clothes, everything was wet. It is normal. You will get a cough, as your lungs are clearing. It may be brown yucky stuff. You will have anxiety and moodiness. The first 3 days are the hardest. About 1 week after quitting, you will notice everything you eat will taste great! Your endurance will sky high. You will have an easier time doing everything. This is a huge accomplishment! You will everyday look at yourself as a new person, someone you are very proud of. Good luck to you. What a great New Year’s Resolution!
