Despair, anxiety, longing
Cheerful expression to empty eyes.
He can cry no more,
Longing, wishing
Hoping for a sign, a meaning to life
Blank look, sealed lips
His heart screams,
“Help me,
Save me from the darkeness”
Pleading for something
Someone
His last chance
A stretch of hope
Closed eyes
Suddently a hand grasping his own
Warmth
Like a fire burning in his soul
Slowly lifted from the darkness,
Into the light
A smile
A hug
Once dry eyes, flooded with tears again
No longer tears of fear or emptiness
Tears of realief
Of joy
Someone who cared
Who helped in his time of need
A friend at last
His Savior
