Anxiety Students

How do I defeat depression and anxiety?
I am a high school student and have been battling depression and anxiety for some time now. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?
Depending on what kind of depression you might have, you could try a few simple things before going to a doctor:
These are from http://www.selfhelpblog.info/fighting-light-depression
1.- Catch some Sun.
Yup, allowing sunlight to warm you up helps your body maintain an adequate level of chemicals and neurotransmitters which help maintain a good balance of emotions and feelings like serotonin……….
2.- Get up and Move.
…..Getting some physical activity, like sports, on a daily basis will help your body create Endorphin, the “Happy Hormone”
….Your body can create Endorphins all by itself, take advantage of this. Play some sports, feel better.
3.- Think before you eat.
Stop eating all that junk food, it’s filled with hormones and fats that take a toll on your body and mind.
Cook yourself, make something at home for yourself and your loved ones. Add more vegetables and fruit to your plates and dishes, cut back a bit on the meat and fats and you will notice how much of a difference it makes……..
I know depression hurts and depression medications abound, why not try these tips may give you better physical and mental health with no side effects and refill trips to the pharmacy. You might even nip some of that anxiety in the butt.
God Bless,
