Symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder..What Should I Do?

My symptoms match perfectly with almost any websites symptom checker including the official mental health diagnostic manual, the DSM-IV. I am very familiar with all this as I am in the mental health field. I am very high functioning with a great job but each symptom is present and I am not willing to lead an unhappy and unfulfilled life. What should I ask/tell my therapist tomorrow? I need to her to lead me to answers and she is very passive so I am not sure how to do that. I am on anti anxiety and anti depressant medications right now but I feel that they are not working. What should I tell my psychiatrist. Is there any thing I should be doing on my own to help myself or lifestyle changes? Please do not respond with prejudice answers or comments that should be kept to yourself. Thank you!

If you have bpd, you will probably have difficulty trusting your therapist so will need to accept that fact. You need to be proactive and not expect your therapist to lead you to answers when you seem to already have them. Good communication is the key. If things aren’t working you can’t expect your psychiatrist to read your mind. If you have bpd it is likely that you will feel alternately dissatisfied and very satisfied with them. It’s something worth discussing with them.
