Anxiety Vs Adhd

ADHD medications: Stimulants vs. Non-stimulants.?

Hi. I’m wondering whether I should be prescribed a stimulant (such as Adderall or Concerta), or a non-stimulant (such as Strattera). The funny thing is is that i’ve been on both kinds in the past. So, to weigh out the pros and cons of each drug, should I choose between:
A stimulant, that in the long term will alter the structure and function of my brain in ways that may depress mood, boost anxiety and, in sharp contrast to their short-term effects, lead to cognitive deficits.

Or

Strattera…which gives me a limp dick.
By the way i’m 18 years old.

Wow you are really being forced to pick between the lesser of two evils right now!! I too take medication for ADHD… After my experience of the pros and cons of each kind…. Personally I would choose the stimulant especially Adderall! Being in school and trying to do well. Most importantly I would choose the stimulants because they seem to work the best and right now you are young.

Later in life when you’re older, and if you still need these meds… you can always change to the Strattera to avoid long term effects.

Plus… what 18 year old boy wants to put up with limp dick ;) lol
