Anxiety Wrap

Best way to help someone with anxiety?
I am looking for help for a close friend. She is always over-worried about the most insignificant things, and wraps herself up when new situations arise. She questions everything, thinking something will go terribly wrong and cannot enjoy life like she should. I would prefer non-pharmacological ideas, but how can I help her loosen up and not miss out on the joys in everyday? (I am a registered nurse and want professional type answers please)
well i have severe anxiety and what helps me the most when i feel that way is to talk to friends and get my mind off things. i do take meds and they do help. however encouraging your friend to get some talk therapy could be very helpful to get to the core of her fears and stress. also help her reduce the stress in her life. if she has full blown attacks then just get her to breathe through them and even have her do that when she is worring or help her meditate. that is what helps me anyway. i hope this helps a little. i am not a proffesional but i have had this for quite some time. iam better and even work a full time job and so maybe that might help with this answer she is very lucky to have a friend like you mine did not understand what was going on at all.
