Can active duty cause spouses at home panic attacks?

My husbands in Iraq he will not be home till June 2010. It seems since he has been gone that i get these things where i feel like im not getting enough air to breathe, sometimes they last the whole day. could these be panic attacks?

    sure could. Check into some relaxation techniques, yoga exercises and deep breathing techniques may all help with this.
    If you can identify the trigger, you may be able to head them off before it gets too bad.

    THey could be panic/anxiety attacks. I’m sure you are under constant worry about him. I don’t know what you’re going through, but try to get involved with other military wives and what not to sort of get your mind off of it. Trust God always! But to answer your question yes–

    You bet those are panic attacks and for good reason! Your husband, the man I assume you love very much, is in the middle of a hot bed that might take his life. I think I would be worrying a bit too if I were you. You might benefit from some counseling from a profressional. And looking up new ways to relax is always a good idea too.
