Can Anxiety Cause Fever

Can anxiety attacks cause fever?
I have anxiety and panic attack disorder. I don’t take any meds for it after 2 horrific experiences with prescription anxiety meds. Anway, I had to go to the hospital today for a minor injury and felt fine aside the simmering panic inside me. However, when my temp was taken, I was at 99.9. I’ve been home for a few hours and my temperature is much lower than the norm now, although I still feel like I have the low grade fever.
Do you think this all anxiety caused? I checked the net and couldn’t find anything about fever and anxiety attacks. Thanks for the input.
I’ve been on Effexor (worst ever with withdrawal), lexapro (nasty side effects) and paxil (2nd worse) that have all scared me from meds. Period. Both effexor and paxil plateaed at high doses and doc took me off them slowly, which resulted in being bedridden and unemployed. I’m not going there again!
Anxiety attacks can do all sorts of crazy things. I fever of less than two degrees is definitely one of them. I used to live with a girl who got panic attacks out of nowhere that imitated heart attacks. She got the chest pain, the numb arm, and increased heart rate, and the jaw pain. If you’re having actual panic attacks and not just anxiety attacks you should find something you can take without it driving you nuts. I know how you feel about anti-anxiety meds (my doc put me on effexor and it was the single worst experience of my entire life) but if you can find a doctor who will actually listen to you and work with you, not just write you a scrip and send you on your way, you should be able to get them under control.
