Walt D asked:

I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and the doctors after running a series of blood tests are convinced that this is the cause of my fatigue. To what extent can anxiety cause fatigue?

In some cases, it can cause you to have panic attacks, and yes fatigue is a common symptom of an anxiety disorder.

Not to worry, it can be treated with the right medication and counselling.

It will get better you’ll see.

    Good luck!!

Sure it can, I have the same thing but I take meds for it, before I did I would get headaches, backaches and just felt beat up. I think it was because of all the tension I had. When you have anxiety for a long time, like for me it was every day all day, I was tense. I couldn’t relax, all that muscle tension cause me to have fatigue. Also when I had it really bad it was difficult to relax, it was like I was letting my guard down. I couldn’t even get through a massage to try and relax until I started taking meds for it and it was like… this is was life is like with no anxiety, it was such a relief.
