I’ve suffered from OCD for 8+ years now along with Social Anxiety. Maintaining and job has been rough. Does OCD and Social Anxiety qualify for disability?

Yes, technically you could get disability for ocd and social anxiety. To get it you have to prove that it prevents you from making more than $900 per month. You have to have a history of firing and disciplinary actions at various jobs as well as a well established medical history with multiple failed medication attempts. Even then it usually takes 2-3 years to even start to get payments.

Yes, you would be entitled to a disability allowance. The main criteria is when you’re not able to work due to your mental difficulties.

You might qualify, your doctor will have to fill out papers and so will all the doctors you have seen before. You also have to be taking your medication.

For some people it takes years and for others only a few months.

Your anxiety can manifest itself in many ways. You should try talking to a psychologist to help decipher the OCD and the anxiety occuring at the same time.
I suffer from anxiety and I take herbal supplements to help take the edge off when I get nervous. I found this to be helpful
