Coping Anxiety Depression

Ways to cope with anxiety and depression? (without drugs)?
I have a generalized anxiety disorder and depression (which are both linked). This affects my everyday life. My depression makes me not feel motivated to do the things I should do like hang out with friends or do my homewrk and I get really tired. My anxiety makes me too scared sometimes to the point I don’t sleep because I’m afraid I will die in my sleep.
I want to deal without traking any drugs but I just can’t get myself in the mindset to force myself. Sometimes my fear feels so real that I can’t tell myself its just anxiety and I get so tired and fatigued and unmotivated that I can’t get myself to do the things I should be.
Is there any home remedies I can do to get my life back on track? Any herbal remedies or anything?
At the online bookstores you can most likely buy a copy of this book: “The Anxiety Cure” by Dr. Archibald Hart. It is one of the most excellent self help books on this issue.
Also, you must learn to breathe correctly. Lie on your back on your bed and place one hand on your abdomen. If your hand rises and falls when you breathe, you are doing it correctly. If your hand does NOT rise and fall as you breathe, then you are breathing thru only the top of your lungs, and this is wrong. It also feeds anxiety. Practice each day in breathing correctly until you have learned to do it all the time. It should become natural for you in time. If you feel a panic attack coming it is especially necessary to get control of your breathing. If you do it correctly, the panic attack will not come.
Also….why not ask Jesus into your life, to love you and hold you in His Arms, and to help you with all life’s issues.
