Sammy asked:
I have a ton of phobias that kind of all fit together like
fear of being watched, like spied on
fear of anything touching my throat
fear of dying
fear of what I can’t see.
At night when I go to the bathroom and the house is dark I get scared cause I can’t see what’s around me and I always have this fear that someone will be standing outside the door..why do I have so many fears like this and can I get rid of them?

I would suggest seeing a therapist. One thing that could cause phobia is a traumatic event that happened in the past. I suffer social phobia froma traumatic event. I just live with it though. If you can’t take it seek help. Hope this helps! Good luck
I’m only 16, but it doesn’t take an expert to realise you have a mental health problem. Definitely an anxiety disorder. I’m learning VCE psychology (year 12 psychology) and I read this case study where an 8 month old child was hit or hurt every time he would touch a stuffed toy or something fluffy. eg. santas beard, rabbits, bears, puppies, cats, blankets..
From then on every time he would see something fluffy he would be absolutely hysteric with fear. So it has been proven that phobias are causes from a traumatic event in ones life. Small or large.
When I was about 12, I was on a motorbike at a friends birthday party, and 8 of my friends gathered about 20 snails each and threw them at me. Ever since that day I’ve been petrified of snails, every time I step on one I honestly almost vomit.
Seek help from a mental health professional, they will give you all the help you need.
Try to think back to what could have caused this fear. Did you once witness your mother being strangled by your father? Have you ever seen a dead person? Did you witness someone being killed? Have you once been stalked? Have you heard of a terrifying story about someone close to you being stalked or murdered by strangulation?
Could be anything.
Hope I helped
Perhaps, it’s not about a fear of dying , being watched , or whatsoever..It is all about a notion you keep , that says you are unable to get rid of it..You have to fight against your fear by having a perception that who you are is greater than what you afraid of..
