What is the diagnosis for somone who…?
What is it called when a person has it set in their mind that there is something wrong with them like bipolar or depression anxiety, when there actually is nothing wrong with them just normal life things but for some reason they always want something to be wrong? Just curious if there is a word or specific disorder. Don’t have a dsm on me.
A person manifesting those tendencies is known as a hypochondriac. It is generally a symptom and not a condition in and of itself. May people who have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) are hypochondriacs, obsessing over germs, symptoms, and various horrible diseases or disorders that they just “know” they must have.
