Facts Anxiety Disorders
anxiety disorder?

I know I have an anxiety disorder. The fact that I do not is not even a question. The problem is that my mother thinks I am a hypochondriac and she refuses to get me checked out because she believes that I am fine. However, I am not and I know I am not. I am tired of being worried about whatever all of the time. What should I do? If medicine would ease my problems, then it needs to be done. What should I do?

PS: Talking to my mother, begging to her, trying to influence her decision in any way is not an option.
I am 16 by the way.
If I go to the doctors by myself, won’t I be charged?

Just go to your doctor without telling your mother. You’re old enough to know what your body/mind is telling you.
I have an anxiety disorder as well, and medication does help, but it takes time to figure out which one works best for you.
Go to the doctors. Get a proper diagnoisis. It will be hard for your mom to argue with a diagnosis from a professional.
