Fear Anxiety Symptoms
Anxiety Disorders…..Symptoms?

What were your symptoms before you were diagnosed with an Anxiety Disorder?

Im taking medication for depression at the moment. It has helped a lot but i still feel very anxious all the time.

I get quite panicky when going into a busy place. I have a fear of bumping into people i know when im out anywhere (i know that sounds so silly) I feel stressed all the time and worry about everything. I worry about going places when i know there’s going to be loads of people there, i seem to cancel things a lot. I hate feeling like this, sometimes if im worrying about something it seems to take over my life :-(

This sounds more than just depression. You’ve got a degree of agoraphobia, obviously. This can’t be treated with drugs. You need some kind of psychotherapy to deal with it. The drugs you will be taking for depression, don’t cure the problem either – they just help you keep going and get you over the crisis. But you need to get your GP to refer you for phychotherapy. There is a subconscious fear which makes you feel like this. I hope you get help, because you can’t really do this on your own. Good luck to you.
