Fear Of Sleeping In Children

Fear Of Sleeping In Children
my third child I did not sleep with because of fear of sids but my other two I did, and threw caution?

To the wind. With my third baby, I did start off sleeping with her, but one time, woke up almost rolling on her, so I got scared , and stopped. Now, she is nine months old, and does not want to snuggle. Whenever I try she tried to get free, and when I lay by her, she wants only to get away. I never had this with my first two babies, is it because i did not sleep with her more as a newborn? I love her, and I want to show my affection,a nyone else have a baby that is totally not interested in snuggling???

My niece co-slept with all three of her children. The first two LOVED to snuggle in, cuddle in, and were happy nestled in next to her… her youngest has NEVER wanted to snuggle. It’s just that one baby. That one personality. They actually had to buy a crib because he wouldn’t sleep in the bed with them and didn’t want to. They had to dim lights or block the lights in the crib because, unlike the others who didn’t care, he HATED the light while he was sleeping.

Different personalities. I remember some parent of multiples saying how these two can share a crib/bed because they like to snuggle up together, but this one has to have her own crib, from month one, just not wanting to be next to anyone.

My daughter cuddles mostly with me, and everyone else rarely gets a snuggle up. It’s just her. Her daddy has been heartbroken that he can’t snuggle her and relax her to sleep. However, when it’s bedtime, she will actually point to her crib to tell me to put her to bed, she doesn’t want to cuddle at all when sleeping. (She’s 15 months.)

I’ve heard it said more than once that the youngest tends to try to be independent, to try and keep up with the older kids. I’ve heard a lot of mothers say that because their youngest doesn’t want to snuggle. I don’t know if it’s true or not…

It’s not your fault at all. It’s personalities. Show your affection with kisses, hugs, and lots of walks in the stroller. She knows you love her. :)
