Fear Of Spiders Treatment
Can someone help me with this spider/skin problem?
3 days ago, I woke up with an aching red bump about the size of a golf ball on my left shin, and a dot on it. So I pretty much guessed it was a bite of some sort..insect or spider, but not sure. After 3 days right now, I just took a picture of it as well as a spider that was in my bathroom yesterday…thinking it might be the culprit. What I really fear, is that it’s a brown recluse spider bite. So my questions are….what do you think this wound on my leg is? Think its a spider bite? Think it’s a brown recluse spider bite? and what treatment(s) do you suggest? Thanks everyone.

PS: I live on Long Island, NY.
I am no dermatologist, but the spider is a common funnel web
spider called a grass spider. It would not cause the injury
on your leg, which looks more like a boil or other skin condition
than a spider/insect bite.
There are no brown recluse spiders in NY.
