Stopping birthcontrrol pills in the end of first week?

I recently started taking Ortho- tricyclen. I’ve always been a happy, non agressive, hard to get angery person. Now I am moody, flying off the handle one min crying the next, little things bother me, and I think I’m having anxiety attacks (3-4 a day sometime small ones sometimes they come and go for hours) and they scare me to death. I called my gyno and I can’t get in till the 9th, I’m leaveing the 10th to go to Florida and visit a friend, I am such a mess right now. Has anyone stopped the pill at the end of the first week? Did you have problems? I would wait it out but seriously I can’t, I want to be my normal fun happy self when I go on vacation. Now I’m so depressed and upset.

Ortho tricyclen is HORRIBLE!!!!! I was on it for 5 months and thought I was going to die every period! I would start to spot during the light blue for couple days then stop, then start again the first few dark blue and THEN really get my period during the white pills for about 8+ days. My periods have never lasted more than 4 days start to finish and never had real bad cramps before. I would take at least two or more sick days each period due to cramps, not to mention I was SSSOOO moody. I finally made them switch my pill to Levlen, which is one of the lowest hormone birth control pills out right now. I have been on Levlen for six years and not a single complaint, back to my regualr cycle and cramping level now. I would ask your doctor about a lower hormone pill, ortho tricyclen is just too much for some girls, I have heard this same story about it from a lot of friends.
