I have had this since I was a kid. Then it went away for a bit. Now that I just moved out on my own I have been having these anxiety attacks. My g/f is mad and doesn’t understand it either. I see a Doctor for my OCD every month, is this something I can bring up? I need help. I am very upset and depressed. I have talked with my Mom about this as well, and she said to talk to my doctor.

see your doctor but in the meantime, get busy…

    do volunteer work
join a group at your church or temple
walk the dogs at the local animal shelter

    you need to distract yourself

Get into a group therapy schedule. You are not the only one who has this.

my advice is to try to not think about the separation anxiety and focus on other things such as making new friends or join a club. that should take your mind off of it and help you relax a little bit.

Take her to therapy with you and share yourself with her on that level through the eyes and words of an impartial third party whose insight might just help her to understand something that probably frustrates her to no end because she has no experience with it and she can’t help you on her own.

When people love you, especially women… They like to be the be the person who warms your soul and helps your head. Trust me, she is not angry at you, even if she can’t see that herself. You need to teach her what OCD is and PTSS is… Then ask her to be the one who can love you through it when she has the proper skills to do so.

If she understands and doesn’t want to be that person… then she is selfish and not worth your time no matter how much you would like her to be. and it is better to understand that aspect of her ahead of time before you put too much into someone who is only going to leave you eventually anyway and back up a fear that you already live with…

    Understand?

I wish you peace and love and I hope that everything works out for you.
