How can I get over my fear of night time?

I am so terrified of night. And I truley don’t know what to do. I can’t fall asleep till really early because every sound i hear or think I hear, I freak out. I always think that there’s someone going to break into my house and kidnapp me or something. I know, the chances are SO small. But I can’t help it. Or if I turn to ones side while I’m sleeping, when I turn the other way someone will be there. I’ve tried the whole music thing, and trying to think of good thoughts but my fear takes over. I can’t control it. I’m fine when I know one of my parents are awake, but as soon as they goto their room to sleep I start to panic. Please, is there anything I can do to help me overcome my fears?
The only thing I can think of that would be the reason I’m scared at night (not really a trauma) is when I was really young, I put my hand behind the bed and I could have sworn I woke up and someone was pulling my hand under. I never remembered anything from when I was younger but that.
