I have an echocardiogram and have to be hooked up to a holter monitor for 48 hours at the end of the month. I am really anxious about it because I worry about the results. How can a subside unwanted and useless worrying? I have a generalized anxiety disorder and am currently on Effexor to help that.

Try to get your mind on other things. Have someone come to visit and talk about….. anything but whats causing your anxiety. I am currently careing for a person that has a lot of anxiety. It is very hard to get her out of it once she starts… but its not so hard to prevent in the first place.

that can be something that will make youpretty anxious. try not to think about it and try to see if your doctor can give you something tho relax you about it. talk to him and see what he can do to help. you might just need somthing to help you sleep a little and get plenty of rest. hope this helps a little and i will be praying for you.
