Okay, I’m 13 years old and I have the biggest fear of roller coasters. The whole idea of that huge drop and how fast it goes just freaks me out. my family’s going on a trip to Busch gardens soon so I actually was wondering 2 things. What are some tips to get over this fear? and what is the least scariest/beginner roller coaster at Busch Gardens?

All I know is that if u close ur eyes u will get scared,,,,,if u dont it wont be that scary,,,,all im saying is that dont close ur eyes,,,,
i dont know about the least scariest roller coaster thing.
but i was deathly* afraid of them when i was little.
but when i was eight i went to a theme park and my mom and dad forced me to try it.
they basically said ‘you should try it, and if i didnt like it then i never have to go on again, but i gaurentee you will like it. it wont hurt you anyway, they wouldnt make a ride that would endanger people.’ so i tried it.
and i was amazing.
i love them now.
but then i was scared of the upsidedown ones.
becuase the one i went on whn i was eight didnt go upsidedown.
so when i was about 11 i went to sea world in florida.
and they have one upside down ride.
so i was with my cousins and they forced me to go on it.
and had told me the same thing my mom and dad had when i was littler.
i BAWLED my eyes out becuase i was so scared.
it was bad.
so then i went on it. and i was like squeezing my mom and dads arms becuase each one was on a side of me.
but then it started and i LOVED it.
it was sooo fun.
i wanted to go on it 98347234 times after that.
and ive been going on them ever since.
so all i have to say is to get over your fear just try it.
then if you dont liek it, dont go on anymore.
but i gaurentee you that you will LOVE them just like i do.
take my mom and dads advice.
and go for it.
you’ll love it.
well i’ve never been to busch gardens so i wouldnt know, BUT i know EXACTLY how scared you feel. im 13 too!(: andd i hated rollercoasters too. but now, i loove them
Busch Gardens is absolutley amazing!!!
My bro was scared of roller coasters, but he went on one and loved it.
My point: If you havent ever been on one, how do you know that you’re going to be scared? Sure, the IDEA of it freaks you out, but you might actually love it.
Try one, and if you ever get scared on it, close you’re eyes.
im 13 tooo but you wont get scared trust me. i go scared in disneyland and now when i go to six flags i dont get scared. go on the shortest but intesnse ride there and you will be so happy. then any other ride will be great. have a nice trip=]
I will tell you my story and I hope it would help you.
A few months ago I went to thorpe park. I was scared of rollercoasters before but I kept saying to myself “I can do this, I can do this” so that gave me a little more courage to go on the ride. So I went on this ride called Nemesis and while waiting outside for the ride to come in, I kept saying “It’s going to be ok” so as I got in I just closed my eyes for 10 seconds and breathed in and out until the ride started. My eyes were shut for the first 10 seconds of the ride but you realise it isn’t all that bad with your eyes shut. So I opened my eyes and realised it even isn’t that bad with eyes open and now I enjoy rollercoasters. Don’t think about the drop or you’re only telling yourself not to go on.
So what you need to do is keep saying positive things to yourself and always try not to think of the bad things. While in the queue talk with friends so that you do not think of the ride and when you get on, close your eyes until you feel confident that it doesn’t feel bad with your eyes shut. Open your eyes slightly and see what it’s like, when you think it isn’t that bad open them fully and if you want to go a little further, stick your hands in the air, as some other people will do.
Now if it’s your first time it is advised that you do not eat before riding (even a little) as it could affect you while you are on the ride, also you should sit around the middle so you do not feel the full effect of the ride. Start with the small rides then build up confidence to go on bigger ones.
Remember not to think of it while queueing, always think of a topic to talk of with friends or family as a distraction. On the ride don’t think of it, just consider it a bumpy ride and always say to yourself that it’s not scary. Or just picture a some nice scenery instead.
Now most of all have fun, do not panic on the ride because you are safe. Don’t force yourself to go on and don’t go on to impress others. Also relax on the ride and enjoy yourself and think nothing of the drops or loops.
So remember: Think positive and you’ll have the courage. Trust me it pays off in the end.
Hope this helps
You just have to suck it up and do it.
You’ll love the adrenline!
